Through performances in colorful traditional dress, Commonwealth Highland Dancers seek to impart an appreciation not only for this unique style of dance but also for the rich cultural history of the Scottish Highlands. The Commonwealth Highland Dance Association (CHDA) is a recognized non-profit 501 ( c ) (3) entity comprised of member dancers, teachers, parents and other Highland Dance enthusiast. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia, CHDA draws on member dancers throughout Northern Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland.
